Keene State College Graduate Study in Education http://keenestateinfo.com/gradstudies Thu, 18 Jun 2009 19:04:07 +0000 http://wordpress.org/?v=2.7 en hourly 1 Math 071 Proficiency Exam http://keenestateinfo.com/gradstudies/2009/02/24/math-071-proficiency-exam/ http://keenestateinfo.com/gradstudies/2009/02/24/math-071-proficiency-exam/#comments Tue, 24 Feb 2009 22:37:21 +0000 jessica http://keenestateinfo.com/gradstudies/?p=430 If you are applying to a post-baccalaureate teacher certification for elementary education, early childhood education, or special education with general education foundation, you must take the Math 071 Proficiency Exam to determine whether or not you will be required to take Math 071 prior to Math 171 and 172.  The exam is administered at the Math Center.  A sample exam as well as packets of information for each section of the exam are available on the Math Center webpage at www.keene.edu/mathctr.  Contact Barbara Yardley at 358-2023 or byardley@keene.edu to schedule an appointment to take the exam.  Tell her that you are a post-baccalaureate applicant.  Ms. Yardley typically administers tests from 9:30 am-1:30 pm Monday through Thursday and from 9:30 am-11:00am on Friday throughout the semesters and has shorter times during the rest of the year.  If you are unable to make it during those times, the Math Center will try to set up a different time to take the exam.

As soon as you have done the sample test and are ready to take the exam, you should take it in order to use this information for course scheduling.

Candidate score reports will be posted online on the day that paper score reports are mailed to those who registered via phone or mail. Paper copies will not be mailed to candidates if they register online; however, hard copies will still be mailed to the schools for any candidate if they request it at the time of registration. Those who register online will be able to review their scores online for 30 days from being posted, during which time score reports can be downloaded and printed free of charge. After 30 days, there will be a fee for copies.

Candidates who register by phone or mail will continue to receive their scores via first class mail.
